Plan Ahead For A Smooth and Enjoyable Celebration


Pops on the River, presented by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, is the state’s largest Fourth of July celebration and takes place event July 4th in downtown Little Rock.

Pops on the River is FREE to the public and will begin at 5 p.m. outside the main gates of the First Security Amphitheater in the River Market Pavilions with two Kid’s Pavilions. The event will also have food trucks and other activities below the River Market Pavilion.

Pops on the River activities inside the First Security Amphitheater gates will begin at 5:30, featuring performances by the Kemistri Band with Nicky Parrish and the Rodney Block Collective. The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra will close out the night with a beautiful performance. Fireworks will be finale at 9:30 p.m

Make plans to spend the day with us on July 4, with festivities beginning in the afternoon and continuing into the evening, leading up to the fireworks finale.

Location

Join us at Riverfront Park in downtown Little Rock, where activities, stages, and vendors are spread throughout the scenic riverfront area.

Fireworks Show

Close out the evening with a fireworks display over the Arkansas River, lighting up the skyline in celebration of Independence Day.

Admission

Pops on the River is free and open to the public, offering a full day of entertainment and activities for everyone to enjoy.

Climate

Daily winter temperatures can range from -5°C to -20°C. In the summer, they range from the mid-teens to 30°C. Depending on your location, you may be well protected by trees. 

In the upper regions of of the park, we receive an average of about 1050 mm of snow per year. In the lower regions, the average is about 850 mm per year.

Prepare yourself for rain if you are coming in the summertime, as it generally rains every few days, and usually for several hours at a time. The winds can be strong, too, so come prepared.
